My Story
MamasLove Yoga truly began in the winter of 2019. I was pregnant with my first daughter. I had been practicing Yoga on and off for five years and wanted to make it a regular practice now that I was pregnant.
I live in a rural area that does not offer any prenatal yoga options. I turned to the internet and found there weren’t many options that I could afford.
YouTube was full of yoga practices and even had a few prenatal videos available. Still, there was nothing available that would take me through each week of pregnancy for free. I also wasn’t sure of the teacher’s qualifications to teach prenatal. I wanted to be sure I was practicing in a way that was safe for my changing body and my baby.
When my husband and I began planning for our second pregnancy in 2020, I decided that if I wanted prenatal yoga as I envisioned it, other moms probably did too. I spent six months getting my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and then my 85 hour prenatal teaching certificate. I am proud to be both a YTT200 and a CPYT registered with the Yoga Alliance.
Additionally I have a certificate in Introductory Herbalism from the International Herbal Academy.
I live in Northern Minnesota with my husband and daughter on our small farm. You can learn more about us on our farm blog.
