Your first trimester starts with the first day of your last menstrual cycle and continues to week 12-13. The first trimester can be a tough one for many of us, with low energy and all-day sickness.
These practices are focused on restorative asana (poses). My goal in these early weeks of pregnancy is to support you with flows that help restore energy and connect you with your growing baby.
Week 1
Your first week of pregnancy you technically aren’t even pregnant! This practice should take place during the week of your menstrual cycle. Let’s enjoy a restorative practice as we celebrate the beginning of a new journey.
Week 2
Week two is all about YOU mama. Again we technically aren’t pregnant yet so let’s move our bodies and celebrate our strength, individuality, and spirit.
Week 3
This week is when we come into our fertile windows. We will be taking asana that focus on bringing energy to our root and sacral chakras to stimulate our reproductive system.
Week 4
This is the magical week where we learn if we are pregnant or not. It can be such an exciting and nerve wracking time. How many of us have found ourselves counting down those three minutes, suspended in an almost timeless zone as we wait to see if our lives are about to change, or already have but we don’t even know it yet! We will be focusing on our heart chakra this week, bringing love to our bodies, our own hearts, and to the hearts of our growing babies.
